Well, here we are ladies and gentlemen. The final Sunday of the NFL season. Super Bowl Sunday. The Mercedes Benz Superdome. Ravens, 9ers. Jim vs. John. The Harbaugh Bowl. Ray Lewis final game o fhis career, regardless of what happens. It's been a long season, but when Super Bowl Sunday gets here, it never feels like that. What I would do to watch my team play one more time this season. But that's why this is the Super Bowl. Two teams left. Preparing for two weeks to play one more game for 60 minutes to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Last week is usually dubbed the, "Best weekend of football," and it showed us why. All four games were very exciting, unlike Wild Card Weekend, which included three snoozers. After going four for four in picks Wild Card Weekend, I finished one for four last week. Had I been picking with the spread, I would have done much better. Oh well. Hit the jump to see the preview for the AFC and NFC title games and who I see advancing to New Orleans for the Super Bowl.
After what possibly could have been the most boring week of football all season, let alone a huge letdown as Wild Card Weekend, we move to what most people believe is the best weekend of the season: The Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs. The "bubble teams" that made the playoffs are seemingly gone, and 1 and 2 seeds are off their bye weeks, and we have 4 games with 8 (mostly)elite teams fighting to get one step closer to the Mercedes Superdome in New Orleans for Super Bowl XLVII.
Well, we all made it to 2013. Not much of a miracle, I really didn't think we were going to die anyways. Good excuse to party though. Anyways, new year means new music. If we leave off from last year, we should be in store for some great stuff. Time to start the year off right, enjoy.
Hello again everyone. Before we get started, if you're reading this on December 31st, have a good time and be safe tonight. If you're reading this after December 31st, happy new year. I'm going to wait until after the Super Bowl to do a full season review for every team because too much is happening as I type this on Black Monday to give any full opinions. Now, let's look back to five weeks ago at my playoff projections. In the AFC, I went six for six in regards to the teams getting into the playoffs but I got my seeding a little mixed up. My NFC projections were a mess and I blame my heart for that. Hit the jump to see the match ups for this weekend, what my thoughts are, and who I think moves one step closer to New Orleans.
Winter is coming. It's do or die for some teams here and one of these must one games is a big one. I'm a huge Packers fan. Started off slow (I'll hold off ranting about the Seattle game), but we are getting stupid hot. Greg Jennings is back, and while he isn't producing his normal numbers, he is a still a presence that needs to be noticed by opposing defense. I couldn't be more pumped for Ryan Grant to be back in the game right now. First game back 80 yards, 2 touchdowns. Are the Packers going to establish a good run game if Ryan Grant sparks? Think back when James Starks emerged and tore it up in playoffs?
Packer's running backs tend to do better post season. They have a 19th ranked rushing offense right now averaging 108.1 yd/game. Get those numbers and add a touchdown or two consistently a game and boom they are the most dangerous team in the NFL and I'm not hating on the other teams, I'm just saying. If we add a sick run game to our offense to compliment our already dangerous pass game, we're set. We are winning the Super Bowl, no worries.
Vikings need to win this game to make the playoffs. Loss there done. Will the Packers sit their starters? I think nothing will change, because it doesn't have to. They are playing in win and get that first round bye and that's how the cookie will crumble. Peace out Vikings.
Hey Tunes what you think about this? Haha
